Read verses 1-3. Where did Jesus go? Who did he take with him? What happened to Jesus while they were on the mountain? Who appeared and spoke with Him? What might have they talked about (Mat 16:21)? What can we learn about Jesus sufferings from this passage?
Read verses 4-8. What did Peter say? What do his words tell us about him? What did the Heavenly Father say about Jesus? Why do you think the Heavenly Father was pleased with Jesus? Why is it important to listen to Jesus (Mat 16:23)?
Read verses 9-13. What question did Jesus’ disciples ask? How did Jesus answer them? How doest his further prove that Jesus came as the promised Messiah?
