John 14:1-7

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
1. For context, read John 13:21-38. What was about to happen?
2. Read 14:1. How did the disciples feel about what Jesus was saying to them? Why do you think they felt this way? How could they find peace?
3. Read verse 2-3. Why was the fact that Jesus was leaving them good news? How might this good news affect the way we live today?
4. Read verses 4-6. Why do you think Thomas says that they don't know where Jesus was going or the way to get there? What did Jesus reveal about the way? What do you think it means that Jesus is the "way" to the Father? What does it mean that he is the "truth"? What does it mean that he is the "life"?
5. Read verse 7. How can we know the Father? Why is it important to know the Father?
