Question

READY TO DIE FOR JESUS IN JERUSALEM

Acts 21:1-40 (22:1)

Key Verse: Acts 21:13

1.    Read verses 1-6. Trace Paul’s course from Miletus to Tyre. Where is Tyre? What did Paul and his companions do there? What did the disciples there urge Paul to do? Describe their departure from Tyre.

2.    Read verses 7-14. Continue to trace their journey. Who did they stay with in Caesarea? What strong warning did Paul receive there? What was Paul’s answer and their conclusion? What can we learn from Paul?

3.    Read verses 15-16. What was their final destination? Who was with Paul? Who helped him? Where did his company stay?

4.    Read verses 17-26. How were Paul and his company received by James and the elders? What did he report? What shows their lack of enthusiasm about the work of God among Gentiles? What was the greater concern of the elders? Why?

5.    What did they ask Paul to do? (23-25) Why? Why did do as they asked? (26) What was the result? (27-29) Who caused the trouble? What were their false assumptions and what was the false charge brought against Paul? Why did he bring the representatives from the Gentile churches to Jerusalem? (29)

6.    How did the crowd react? Read verses 30-40. How did God work to save Paul’s life? How did Paul further demonstrate his courage and determination to preach the gospel? What can we learn here?
