We thank God for blessing Uganda UBF with a graceful and spirit-filled Easter Bible Conference held under the theme “Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ” based on Romans 6:1–14. Through the conference, we gained a deeper understanding of the meaning of Christ’s death and resurrection; reflected on our personal lives and committed to overcoming sin; renewed our faith and identity in Christ; strengthened our commitment to discipleship and campus ministry; and, engaged in testimony writing, Bible study, and group reflections. The conference also fostered unity among participants from different chapters and strengthened the spiritual foundation of the ministry.
Margaret from Makerere UBF opened with a powerful message from Luke 23:26–43 titled “Jesus, Remember Me.” Sin separates humanity from God, but through Jesus’ sacrificial death, reconciliation is made possible. Like the criminal on the cross, we are called to accept Jesus’ grace and be restored to God. In the evening, participants received two important presentations. Missionary Luke shared the history of UBF globally and in Uganda, summarizing the identity and mission of UBF as a campus discipleship ministry. John followed with training on testimony writing, emphasizing its role in spiritual growth, accountability, and mutual edification. Participants were encouraged to write testimonies reflecting the conference theme.

On Saturday, Ambrose delivered a powerful message titled “United with Christ for New Life” based on Romans 6:1–14. The key verse, Romans 6:4, emphasizes that believers are buried with Christ through baptism and raised to live a new life. Participants were encouraged to reject sin and renew their commitment to a life of faith through the power of the Holy Spirit and obedience to God’s Word. In the evening, Steven presented on “Christianity Today: Revival, History & the Future.” Revival is not merely a historical event but a present necessity. The call was made for renewed spiritual awakening within UBF and a recommitment to God’s mission for Uganda and the world.
The conference concluded with a message from Julius based on Luke 24:13–35 titled “He Went in to Stay with Them.” The key verse, Luke 24:29, highlights the invitation extended to Jesus by the disciples on the road to Emmaus. Through this message, participants reflected on how disappointment, false expectations, and spiritual discouragement can lead to doubt and loss of hope. However, encountering the risen Christ transforms despair into joy and renews true hope. The message emphasized that Jesus is alive, walks with us, and desires to dwell in our hearts.
We thank God for His abundant grace throughout the 2026 Uganda UBF Easter Bible Conference. The theme “Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ” remains a powerful call for all believers to live transformed lives through Christ. We pray that the impact of this conference will continue to bear fruit in the lives of all participants and in the growth of campus ministry in Uganda.
May God help us accept our new life in Christ!
