Dear precious servants of God in the UBF community,
 
Thanks and praises be to the God our father who, through Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection, gave us the forgiveness of sins and eternal life! The world is suffering with strife, hostility and disaster yet we give glory to God because of his gospel that gives life.

As you know, in the midst of the Covid pandemic which has agonized the whole world is not over, many Ukrainians fall into severe disaster due to recent war.

It is extremely painful to see people losing their family members, relatives and homes, and what is worse, the growing intensity of the war. Most of all we feel sorrow in our hearts for our sacrificial missionaries and shepherds who have given their lives to serve God's flock of sheep in Ukraine. The missionaries who had to leave the country to neighbouring countries pray fasting earnestly for their Bible students and native leaders. May God have mercy and somehow bring peace to the country.

UBF HQ together with Korea UBF have observed the situation closely. Our co-workers who escaped to neighbouring countries such as Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Poland are safe and cared for by our missionaries in those countries.
 
UBF HQ keeps praying for them and gives necessary financial support for our refugee co-workers. We will continue to do this good work for those who have become strangers. Hebrews 13:3 says "Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering." Also we should remember what our Lord Jesus said that all these disasters are the beginning of birth pains and continue to devote ourselves to world missions preaching the gospel without fear.

We cordially request all UBF co-workers scattered around the world to pray for our suffering Ukraine co-workers and the Ukrainians.

May the merciful God bring peace to the region and expand his kingdom even through the disaster.

Queridos siervos preciosos de Dios en la comunidad UBF,
 
¡Gracias y alabanzas sean dadas a Dios nuestro padre quien nos dio el perdón de los pecados y la vida eterna a través de la muerte en la cruz y resurrección de Jesús! El mundo está sufriendo con la lucha, la hostilidad y el desastre, sin embargo, damos gloria a Dios por su evangelio que da vida.

Como ustedes saben, en medio de la pandemia de COVID que ha agonizado al mundo entero no ha terminado, muchos ucranianos caen en un grave desastre debido a la guerra reciente.

Es sumamente doloroso ver a las personas perdiendo a sus familiares, parientes y hogares, y lo que es peor, la creciente intensidad de la guerra. Sobre todo, sentimos tristeza en nuestros corazones por nuestros misioneros y pastores sacrificiales que han dado sus vidas para servir al rebaño de ovejas de Dios en Ucrania. Los misioneros que tuvieron que salir de su país a los países vecinos oran ayunando fervientemente por sus estudiantes de la Biblia y líderes nativos. Que Dios tenga misericordia y de alguna manera traiga la paz al país.

La sede de UBF junto con UBF Corea ha observado la situación de cerca. Nuestros colaboradores quienes escaparon a países vecinos como Hungría, República Checa, Rumania, Polonia están seguros y cuidados por nuestros misioneros en esos países.
 
La sede de UBF sigue orando por ellos y brinda apoyo financiero necesario para nuestros colaboradores refugiados. Continuaremos haciendo este buen trabajo por aquellos que se han convertido en extraños. Hebreos 13:3 dice: "Acordaos de los presos, como si estuvierais presos juntamente con ellos; y de los maltratados, como que también vosotros mismos estáis en el cuerpo.” También debemos recordar lo que dijo nuestro Señor Jesús que todos estos desastres son el comienzo de los dolores de parto y seguir dedicándonos a las misiones mundiales predicando el evangelio sin temor.

Nosotros solicitamos cordialmente a todos los colaboradores de la UBF repartidos por todo el mundo que oren por nuestros colaboradores de Ucrania y los ucranianos que están sufriendo.

Que el Dios misericordioso traiga paz a la región y extienda su reino incluso a través del desastre.

귀한 동역자님들께 주 안에서 문안드립니다!

우리 주 예수님의 십자가에 죽으시고 부활하심을 통해 우리의 모든 죄를 사하시고 영원한 생명을 허락하신 아버지 하나님께 감사와 찬송을 드립니다! 세상은 불화와 반목, 재난의 연속이요 이 가운데 많은 사람들이 고통을 받고 있지만 우리 주님의 생명의 복음으로 인하여 다만 주님께 영광을 돌립니다.

주지하시다시피, 전 세계를 고통스럽게 한 코비드 상황이 아직 끝나기도 전에 최근에 발생한 우크라이나 사태로 말미암아 많은 사람들이 재난 가운데 있습니다. 사랑하는 가족, 친지들을 잃은 많은 분들, 지금도 점점 확대되어 가는 전쟁을 볼 때 참으로 마음이 아프고 고통스럽습니다. 무엇보다 주와 복음을 위해 헌신하시던 우크라이나에 계신 우리 선교사님들, 목자님들을 생각할 때 안타깝기 그지없습니다. 현지 양들을 두고 그곳을 떠난 선교사님들은 양들의 안위에 노심초사하시며 금식기도하고 계십니다. 하나님께서 현재의 상황을 긍휼히 여기시며 조속히 이 지역에 안정과 평화를 허락하여 주시길 기도합니다.

UBF세계본부와 한국본부에서는 이 사태가 일어난 순간부터 상황을 예의 주시해 왔습니다. 현재 우크라이나 인근 국가들 (헝가리, 체코, 루마니아, 폴란드 등)로 피신한 우크라이나 동역자님들을 그곳에 계신 우리 선교사님들의 헌신적인 도움으로 안전하게 보호되고 있습니다. 세계 본부에서는 이분들을 위해 기도하며 난민이 된 우리 동역자님들을 돕기 위해 필요한 모든 재정지원도하고 있습니다. 계속하여 인근 지역으로 탈출하며 도움을 요청하는 동역자님들을 기도와 실제적인 지원으로 돕고자 합니다. 히브리서 13:3 절은 말씀합니다. "너희도 함께 갇힌 것 같이 갇힌 자를 생각하고 너희도 몸을 가졌은즉 학대 받는 자를 생각하라." 또한 우리가 이 모든 재난들이 예수님이 이미 말씀하신 마지막 때의 징조임을 알고 두려워하지 않으며 더욱 근신하여 만국복음 전파에 힘써야겠습니다. 

전 세계에 흩어져 계신 사랑하는 우리 UBF 동역자님들도 재난을 당한 우크라이나 동역자님들의 고난에 간절한 기도로 동참해 주시면 대단히 감사하겠습니다. 하나님의 은혜 가운데  조속히 안정과 평화가 임하며 이번 재난을 통해 생명의 복음이 더욱 활발하게 전파되도록 기도해주시기 바랍니다.
