Dear esteemed UBF world mission coworkers in the Lord,

The 2019 European Summer Bible Conference will take place from August 9-11 in Willingen, a winter sport city located in central Germany. Marking the 50th anniversary of UBF world mission, this will be a historical conference. In light of this, UBF offers vision camps for the UBF next generation in Prague (Czech Republic) and in Bonn (Germany). The program offered in Bonn is called the GLE-Forum and will be held from July 29-August 6, 2019. The GLE-Forum is a long-term leadership development program, and follows last year’s inaugural Forum in Princeton, New Jersey. Young coworkers of the UBF next generation who have the spiritual desire to be used in UBF mission work and in the global Christian mission are eligible for the program. The goal of GLEF is to spiritually empower and develop them as Christian leaders with vision and professionalism. We want to cultivate them in Christian character and spiritual authority to be leaders influential in every sphere of their lives.

At the 2018 Forum, the participants prepared factual studies and gave seminar presentations of about 20 books of the Bible. Through this, they were able to obtain a holistic biblical perspective of God’s salvation history. They also learned the Inductive Bible Study method which has been foundational for UBF, and put it into practice by independently making questionnaires directly from the text. By studying the gospel of Mark with the thematic foci of Jesus’ leadership and discipleship, they learned the secret of Jesus’ spiritual authority and thus learned the secret of life-transforming Bible Study. Furthermore, through lectures on UBF’s spiritual heritage, role, position, and mission in light of salvation history, the vision of UBF became concrete for them and they could renew their identity as UBF coworkers of the next generation. Twelve of those who successfully completed the program were certified as S.E.B.T’s (Self-motivated Executive Bible Teachers).

Keeping with GLEF 2018, our prayer topic this year is to raise Bible teachers with vision and professionalism. This year’s Forum will be of a higher level: building upon last year’s foundation, we aim to raise messenger trainers and disciple-makers. The participants will prepare and present factual studies and overviews on the Mosaic books and other books of the Bible, in order to help them find for themselves the treasures therein. In particular, through studying in Exodus and Numbers the process of God’s forty- year redemptive history with Israel, they will experience the milestones in the spiritual journey of a person of faith.

We are confident that this will be a good opportunity for them to learn a Biblical perspective of the role of a shepherd through Moses’ nation-building leadership, mature faith, and life. We pray that they can continually learn, through lectures by both first- and next generation members, the spiritual heritage of UBF, our position in history, and our role, mission and vision. Through this they can solidify the vision for

GLE FORUM Global Leadership Empowerment Invitation to GLEF 2019

UBF world campus mission and clarify their identity and grow as coworkers. We also want to learn spiritual insight and wisdom from “case studies” of the lives of missionary parents and faith predecessors and continue their spiritual legacy as messenger trainers and disciple makers. And we want to learn deeply from Dr. Samuel Lee’s Genesis messages and from the laws and feast ordinations in the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

Nine days and eight nights are a short time to cover the entire GLEF 2019 program. Therefore, all materials will be prepared and pre-distributed to participants, so that each may prepare thoroughly and so that during the forum itself, the main points will be adequately dealt with and the time for spiritual fellowship can be maximized. All materials will be provided to the attendants in English. We pray whole- heartedly that participants can receive from these materials the wisdom to live as God’s people, and in particular, the wisdom to lead Biblical lives as the next generation of UBF, and as messenger trainers and disciple-makers.

One week before the GLEF 2019 there will be a six-day, five-night journey following Martin Luther’s footsteps. This trail, for the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, has been well restored. The costs (accommodation and food) for the GLEF 2019 and the Luther journey will be provided. The GLEF scholarship is funded by New Jersey UBF and many donors.

Each scholarship will be based on review by the UBF GLEF Committee. All interested and qualified applicants should send, by February 28, 2019, the completed form along with the recommendation of their UBF chapter director or parents to ubfgloballeaders@gmail.com. Anyone who wants to participate only in the Luther journey can send in the corresponding application by February 28 to ubfgloballeaders@gmail.com. Attendance for the GLEF 2019 is capped at 50, and for the Luther journey, at 21. The earlier the application, the greater the chance of being awarded a place.

독일 중부에 위치하는 Winter Sport 의 도시, Willingen에서 2019 년 8 월 9 일에서 11 일까지 유럽 수양회가 개최됩니다. 특히 2019 년 유럽 수양회는 UBF 세계선교 50 주년을 맞이하여 개최되는 역사적인 대륙 수양회 입니다. 이러한 역사적인 시점에서 UBF 는 UBF 차세대 동력화 프로그램을 비전 캠프로써 체코 프라하와 독일 Bonn 에서 제공합니다. 지난해에 이어서 2019년, 독일, Bonn에서 제공되는 차세대 동력화 프로그램은 GLE-Forum 2019로 명명하였고, 2019 년 7 월 29 일부터 8 월 6 일까지 개최됩니다. GLEF 프로그램은 장기적인 UBF 차세대 리더십 양성 교육 프로그램입니다. 출애굽기 19 장 5 절 6 절에 기초하여 다음 세대의 희망이며 주인공들인, UBF 차세대들에게, UBF 세계 캠퍼스 선교 사역뿐만 아니라, 크리스천 리더로서 21 세기 글로벌 기독교 선교역사를 섬길 수 있는 영적인 역량을 키워주는 프로그램입니다.

참가 대상자는 UBF 선교역사와 글로벌 기독교 선교역사에 쓰임 받고자 하는 영적 소원을 가진 차세대 젊은이들입니다. 지난해에 이어서 차세대 젊은이들을 GLEF 2019 에 초청하게 되어서 기쁘고 기대가 됩니다. GLEF 2019 는 UBF 차세대들이 UBF 선교사역의 비전과 성경공부의 전문성을 가진 크리스천 리더로 성장하여 Global 기독교 선교역사에서 쓰임 받을 수 있도록 영적 역량과 리더십을 키워주고자 하며, 각자가 처해 있는 지역에서, 또 각자의 삶의 각 분야에서 영향력있는 크리스천 리더들로 쓰임 받을 수 있는 말씀 권세와 인격을 함양해 주고자 합니다.

지난 해 GLEF 2018 에서는 UBF 차세대들이 하나님의 구속사에 관련된 성경 20 여권 대한 factual study 를 준비하여, 세미나 형식으로 서로 발표하면서, 신 구약의 성경이 제시하는 구속사적 역사관을 접하였습니다. 또한 UBF 성경공부의 기초인 Inductive bible study 방법의 본질을 터득, 연습하여 UBF 사역의 기초공부 문제를 자립적으로 만드는 능력까지 갖게 되었습니다. 특히 예수님의 리더십과 제자양성역사의 주제를 가지고 마가복음 본문 말씀을 주목하였을 때, 예수님의 영적 권세의 비밀과 제자양성 사역의 내용을 깊이 있게 접하였고, 한 사람의 삶을 변화시키는 성경공부의 비밀이 무엇인가 체험하게 되었습니다. 더 나아가 UBF 신앙유산, UBF 의 역사적 위치, 역할, 사명 그리고 UBF 선교사역의 비전에 관련된 것을 심도 있게 연구,발표하면서 UBF 세계선교 사역비전을 더욱 구체화 할 수 있었고 차세대 UBF 사역자로서의 정체성을 새롭게 할 수 있었습니다. GLEF 2018 과정을 모범적으로 수료한12 명의 UBF 차세대들에게는 자립적인 성경성생(S.E.B.T: Self motivated Executive Bible Teacher) Certificate 를 수여하였습니다.

2019 년 GLE-Forum 의 기도제목은 작년에 이어서 비전과 전문성을 가진 성경성생이며, 목표는 메신져 트레이너(MT)와 제자양성가(DT)를 세우는 것으로 잡고, GLEF 의 내용의 수준을 한 단계 올렸습니다. UBF 차세대들 스스로 모세 오경 전권에 대한 factual study 와 overview 를 준비하여 세미나 형식으로 서로 나누면서,모세 오경 속에 숨겨진 보화들을 접하고자 합니다.특히 출애굽기와 민수기 공부를 통해서 초기 이스라엘의 40 년 구속사 과정을 섬세하게 살피면서, 한 사람의 신앙인의 삶과 신앙여정에서 체험 할 수 있는 대부분의 사건들을 체험하고자 합니다. 캠퍼스 선교사역의 리더로서 성경적인 목자상을 확립해 나갈 수 있는 좋은 기회를 제공받게 될 것이며, 모세의 리더십과 한 나라를 형성해 나가는 지도자의 성숙한 신앙과 삶을 체험하게 될 것이라 믿습니다. GLEF 2019 년에도 믿음의 선배들과 차세대들을 통하여 UBF 신앙유산, UBF 의 역사적 위치, 역할, 사명과 UBF 선교사역의 비전에 관련되어 심도 깊게 연구된 것으로 서로 발표, 소통하면서, UBF 차세대로서의 UBF 세계 선교사역 비전을 더욱 구체화 하며, 정체성을 확실하게 확립해 나갈 수 있기를 기도합니다.

8 박 9 일의 기간은 GLEF 2019 의 전반적인 프로그램을 다루기에는 매우 짧은 시간입니다. 그래서 준비를 철저하게 하여, 자료들을 참석자들에게 제공하며, 포럼 기간 중에는 핵심포인트만 다룰 예정이며,팀별로 교제의 시간을 많이 가질 계획입니다.특히 부모선교사님들과 믿음의 선배들의 메신저로서, 제자양성 역사가로서의 삶을 케이스 스터디 형식으로 접하면서, 메씬져 트레이너로서, 제자양성가로서의 역량을 발휘할 수 있는 영적인 통찰력과 지혜를 배우고자 합니다. Dr. Lee 선교사님의 창세기 강의안, 하나님의 법과 절기 등, 레위기가 가르치는 전체 내용들, 차세대들을 위해 전하는 모세의 3 신명기 메시지를 심도있게 연구, 발표하면서, 모든 자료들을 영어 PPT 로 정리하여 참석자들에게 제공하고자 합니다.이 자료들을 통해서 UBF 차세대들이 하나님의 백성들로서, 특히 UBF 차세대들로서 어떠한 성경적인 삶을 살아야 하는가 접하고, 메쎈져 트레이너, 제자양성가로 쓰임 받는 지혜를 배울 수 있기를 기도합니다.

GLEF 2019 년이 개최되는 8 박 9 일동안의 제반 비용과(숙박, 식사) GLEF 2019 프로그램 1 주일 전에 5박 6일동안 제공되는 루터의 신앙의 발자취를 방문하는 여행프로그램에 관련된 제반 비용을 GLEF 차세대 동력화 장학 프로그램에서 지원하고자 합니다. GLEF 장학프로그램은 New Jersey UBF의 교육 펀드를 통해서 제공되며, UBF GLEF 차세대 동력화 위원회의 심사 후에 지원됩니다.
