USA/CANADA Staff Conference Opening Message By Pastor Mark Vucekovich OUR FELLOWSHIP1 John 1:1–4 Key Verse: 1:3 “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.” “Fellowship.” What is that? In Greek it’s the word “koinonia.” It’s a fascinating word used four times in this chapter. It means a close relationship, willing contribution, or mutual enjoyment and participation. When we see people, many are in one-sided relationships. One person is doing all the teaching; the other is doing all the listening. There’s no more to it than that, no other possibility. That’s not koinonia or fellowship. Or, one person is doing all the giving; the other, all the receiving. The one receiving never gives; the one giving never receives. That’s not koinonia or fellowship, either. Koinonia means two or more parties close with each other. They willingly give to each other. They share everything, and they enjoy being together. They’re willing to suffer together. The Apostle John used this beautiful word to describe Christian community. | 2012 New Year Message by Pastor Abraham Kim (Video) 2012 New Year Message By Pastor Abraham Kim, General Director of UBF EXPLORE THE PROMISED LAND
Numbers 13:1-14:25
"But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, This year of 2012 is the beginning of the next 50 years of UBF. This year may have specific significance in each of our lives. We should thank God for guiding us this far and think about the promised land he is pointing to. I'd like to think with all of you about the promised land God gave us in two aspects. First is the world campus mission, and the second is the spiritual growth. May God open our eyes to see the promised land and may He give us the faith and spirit of Joshua and Caleb.

2011 Thanksgiving Message by Pastor Abraham Kim | Special Message based on Philippians 2:1-18 by Pastor Abraham Kim at Washington UBF (Video) HAVE THE ATTITUDE OF CHRISTPhilippians 2:1-18
“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus At the beginning of this epistle, Apostle Paul said,“he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus(1:6).” What is the good work God is carrying outin us? According to Romans 8:29, it is to restore His image after that of Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul was imprisoned in chains. In a time of trial, he needed comfort and support from fellow Christians. But some preached the gospel out of envy and rivalry in order to stir up trouble for Paul. Have you seen anyone who preaches the gospel out of envy and rivalry? How would he look like? How could Christian leaders be so mean toward a suffering fellow servant of God? But Apostle Paul rejoiced because Christ was preached anyway. He had the mind of Christ who served God’s will against His own. In chapter 2, the apostle leads us to have the attitude or mind of Jesus Christ. How can we have the mind of Christ? May the Holy Spirit open our eyes to see the beauty of our God and have an earnest desire to growin Christ’s image.
