Two New House Churches
On May 27, 2009 two weddings were held at the Chicago UBF Center, as Jacob and Paulina
Kim, and Richard and Jenna Ryzewski joined together in marriage. We saw very clearly
how Jacob and Pauline each met the God of their parents, and how each has a personal
calling from God to serve him. The key verse for their wedding was 2Cor 5:20, ¡°We are
therefore Christ¡¯s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We
implore you on Christ¡¯s behalf: Be reconciled to God.¡± They pray to live this out as
a family by demonstrating God¡¯s unconditional love to others and one another,
especially while in the UIC ministry. Many guests came from around the country and the
world to bless them—particularly from Ohio and Korea, their hometowns.
Following this marriage, the Ryzewski family was established. We heard how God covered
over their life problems and came to them in the midst of despair and fatalism.
Although Richard was once painfully wounded by his father¡¯s death, he was healed by
the grace of God. Jenna, too, met God despite having many hardships in her life,
including immigrating to America. Their wedding¡¯s key verses were Rom16:3-5, ¡°Greet
Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for
me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them. Greet also
the church that meets at their house.¡± We pray for them to work together well with
the leaders of the Loyola fellowship and be a blessing there, by teaching the bible
faithfully and praying earnestly. They pray to one day go to Poland as missionaries.
May God use the Kim and Ryzewski families to spread the gospel to the ends of the
earth.
